Well, we’ve been living in our RV Fulltime now for over 3 months at the time of this post. How’s it going you ask? It’s going pretty well actually. We made our first big trip in the RV for vacation in Florida. We made it out just ahead of Hurricane Ian, which we had planned on leaving that day, so it wasn’t like we had to cut our vacation short. Prayers for all those affected by the Hurricane! We had no major issues. One minor one, the closet rod fell again. So while we were on vacation we went to Harbor Freight and Home Depot to get some materials to secure it better.<\/p>\n

We will put up a blog post and video of our vacation once it’s edited and uploaded to our\u00a0YouTube channel<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Anyway, now that we are back to our “normal” routine, we are also prepping for winter living in our RV. The thought makes me a bit anxious, so I’ve been doing some research on the topic. I joined some Facebook groups to hopefully get some good tips from those who are experienced at winter living in an RV. Plus just plain common sense will factor in, too. We are, after all, northern Michiganders, so we know how brutal winters can be. We just want to make sure we are prepared physically, as well as mentally for this.<\/p>\n

We did find an RV campground that has year ’round camping in the vicinity of where we are staying now, which isn’t too far from Jeff’s work and the town we used to live in. We will go check it out soon, and make a decision if that’s where we want to go and what we want to do for sure.<\/p>\n

I do want to throw in right here, that I absolutely love moving to different locations around northern Michigan. I loved the Indian River RV Resort and had fun exploring the area a little bit. But, I must say, we really love being in the Kalkaska area now. Traverse City is so much closer, and the Meijer in Acme is only 20 minutes away. It’s much larger than the Meijer in Gaylord and has a larger selection. Also, Target and Costco are closer, and not to mention Chick-Fil-A!!! Oh my word. How funny is that?<\/h6>\n

We do need to get a few items for the RV to help protect it when the temperatures drop and the snow flies. Here are some of the items we will be investing in. Let me know in the comments if you have any other suggestions.<\/p>\n
